Established in 2013 by the Sandhills Chapter of MOAA, the Veteran Support Fund (VSF) provides emergency financial assistance to Moore County Veterans and their families for personal and urgent needs that create an unexpected financial hardship for the Veteran. Individuals requiring assistance are referred by community Veteran Organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW), American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DVA), Military Missions in Action (MMIA), and the Moore County Veteran Services Office. Veterans seeking assistance should seek a referral from a partnering organization or contact Sandhills MOAA at treasurer@sandhillsmoaa.org

Individuals or groups seeking assistance on the behalf of a Veteran, Service Member, of Military Family Member, should complete the VSF Application. Completed forms should be sent to treasurer@sandhillsmoaa.org

Over the past few years, the Veteran Support Fund has donated over $100,000 in aid to area Veterans through partnerships with fellow Veteran groups throughout Moore County. Funding is raised through individual donations, business partnership, and sponsored fundraisers.
