On 21 May 2025, COL Nick Christopher presented the MOAA JROTC award to Cadet Emily Auman, cadet commander, at the Union Pines High School annual Change of Command Ceremony.

Pinecrest High School held its Annual Military Ball on 3 May 2025 at Sandhills Community College, Dempsey Student Center. COL Iggi Husar presented the MOAA JROTC Certificate and Medal to Cadet Ben Ritter.

The JROTC scholarship luncheon was held at the Pine Crest Inn with presentation of scholarship awards to Cadet Leila Halacy from Pinecrest High School and Cadet Brogan P. Davis from Union Pines High School. LtCol Drew Croucher, JROTC Program Coordinator, served as master of ceremonies. In recent years, this annual Sandhills MOAA Chapter JROTC scholarship event was held in the evening at the Pinehurst Golf and Country Club.

COL Iggi Husar, Sandhills MOAA Chapter Board of Directors member, presented the MOAA JROTC Award Certificate and Medal Set to Cadet Charles Turner at the Richmond Senior High School dining out event in Cole Auditorium, Richmond County.
